Inbound Marketing. Wait don't click away I'm going somewhere with this. Its not as sexy as some of my photoshoots but stay with me. Essentially you need to use inbound marketing for your business. Why? It will have people come to you instead of wasting loads of money trying to find the next business lead with a blind ad. Its being used more and more by businesses. According to a report of more than 501 businesses (by Visual Data) it's a part of their overall marketing strategy*
One digital marketer from the firm Visual Data says âInbound marketing can better attract customers because it enhances usersâ experiences with useful content instead of interrupting them with irrelevant promotional material.â Also according to the firm businesses say it has increased their leads by 72% and their conversion by 55% in the past six months.
In an article written by the firm they go on to say "While 42% say social media provides the most successful inbound marketing activity, 21% say it is the least successful. When they do use social media, 62% use content promotion materials and 61% create visual content. Other businesses (53%) say they incorporate blogs and search engine optimization into their strategies.
So a clear part of the strategy is visual content. Photography is used so often because you can create alot of relevant content which is then used for inbound marketing. Unlike video its easier to create more of it which you need because so much visual content is consumed by successful accounts on a daily basis.
When I create content for agencies and clients I could create 3 months of content in a day. If the photographer knows what they are doing they can enhance your overall strategy and get you high quality leads. As I've spoken on in prior articles people are thinking visually so poor visual content is not an option. People are making decisions on your brand based on what you present visually. Blogs are useful but they do not unfortunately have as great of an impact as the visual. We are just scientifically wired this way as I broke down in prior blog posts.
My advice is to start investing in a great photographer and work with them on your inbound marketing strategy. The visual content will speak for itself and you need someone very experienced in speaking the visual language.
